Use an exact supplier product code
“Two-layer sheet” describes an appearance, not a complete material specification. Obtain the construction, cap and core information, surface finish and supplier processing guidance.

Plan the label around its purpose
Nameplates, control panels and directional signs have different visual and service requirements. Specify text size, mounting, viewing distance and intended environment.
| Selection point | Question for the supplier |
|---|---|
| Material identity | Which exact product and documented process are proposed? |
| Engraving result | What contrast, detail and surface appearance should the sample demonstrate? |
| Service conditions | What documentation supports this intended environment? |
Review a representative layout
Include the smallest text, a dense graphic and the intended mounting features in the sample artwork. Inspect them against agreed criteria.
Material suitability comes before a trial
Do not assume that all laminated or plastic sheets are laser-processable. Confirm the exact product and machine manufacturer’s instructions first.
Continue with the material comparison or share a documented product code.
